Project Summary
The concept at One Roxborough West was to take the project’s site and architecture and purposely split them to address two distinct contexts. The building represents a continuation of the bustling urban cosmopolitan street, leading up from Yonge and Bloor and the transition to a quiet, tree-lined residential neighbourhood along Roxborough.
The materiality of the building reflects this duality concept — a deep, porous, planted façade faces Roxborough. On Yonge Street, a crisp, urban façade is addressed with small, narrow retail bays that are clad in vernacular red brick to continue the retail cadence and established neighbourhood fabric.
